Some places on this earth are absolutely breathtaking in their own way. In Africa, the Maasai Mara is one of these places. The Maasai Mara is a game reserve in Narok County, Kenya which covers 583 square miles of land set aside for wildlife. And the wildlife is certainly plentiful.

Each day we photographed in the early morning until about 11:30 AM and in the afternoon until the park closed at 6:30 PM.

Four Wildebeest Walking Through The Grassland

Wildebeest and zebra were abundant.  We were able to observe the annual migration of the wildebeest and zebra north from Tanzania up through Maasai Mara in Kenya and back down south to Tanzania.

One hope I have with this blog is that you will experience some of the beauty that I saw there.  Perhaps you’ve never been but you would like to go. Or, if you have been, you want to go back.

Stay tuned for more images – these are from the first day of our tour.

    1. Karen,
Thank you for your kind comments! I had a fantastic time! Actually our knowledgeable guide told
us the pink legs indicate a male in heat…and actually he was moving rapidly toward the female
