Blog #88 – Ball Park in Charlotte

Each year for the past 3 years, Charlotte has a photography contest that centers around one city block. Photographers have 24 hours to take photos of any person, place or thing contained within that city block and submit it to the City Block Project Site.

I spent the afternoon last Saturday at the BB&T Ball Park which takes up most of the block that was selected.  I photographed and photographed and came up with the following photos to submit to the Project Contest.

The brand new BB&T Ball Park in downtown Charlotte is home of the Charlotte Knights.

The Ball Park is right in downtown Charlotte and is surrounded by high rise buildings.

Only photographers who have submitted images can vote on them. After a few days of voting they will announce the winners who will get to have their photos displayed at a certain location. The contest is organized by the Light Factory, a local organization that holds education classes in photography and other media.

It was certainly fun and all the proceeds go to support the Light Factory.
