Tina Burbank, my guest blogger, sent me the beautiful photo (right) of pine tree branches and buds. The image is wonderful on its own. I absolutely love the color and clarity of the branches. The branches curve and the curves form an interesting and artistic pattern. This would be a perfect photo to use in a Christmas or Season’s Greetings Card.
I thought it would be interesting to see what it would look like with the colors enhanced in Color Efex Pro, one of my favorite image enhancing software programs. I used the Detail Extractor tab/sliders, Foliage tab/sliders and the Pro Contrast tab/sliders to give the image a little more pop.
I did not find that I needed to do too much to the photograph to enhance it.
Because the branches are drooping downward I wanted to see what it looks like with the flood filter. The Flood filter by Flaming Pear will add water to your image with ripples and reflection that can be adjusted. You can adjust where the water will be placed, the amount of reflection and the size of the ripples and how many.
Next up, more Blue Ridge Parkway in Fall images.
