Tina Burbank – Abstract Street Art

To change things up, I would like to showcase other artists in my blog.  My first ever guest blogger is Tina Burbank, my West Coast cousin (once removed) who has entitled her collection: “Street Art: Impressions You’ll Never Tire Of” or Guerilla biking iPhone photos of whatever gets stuck in the road. Tina says, “These pics were taken headed towards the beach at the intersection of Venice and Sepulveda. You guessed it, she is from California, near the beach, lucky her.

The original photo above has a wonderful free-form design made by the road tar. Plus, the colorful bike bag is wonderful addition of color to the design. In order to accentuate the design even more I took it into photoshop and tweaked the brightness down and the contrast up. Then I added a layer mask and a art filter called dry brush.

She says, “These pics were taken headed towards the beach at the intersection of Venice and Sepulveda. You guessed it, she is from California. And I am thrilled to feature her art. She has agreed to send me her abstract photos every month. So look for it on the 15th of the month.

Thanks, Tina. Good Job!!
